COMMUNITY OVERVIEW

“Commitment to community,” one of the Seven Cooperative Principles, is a driving force behind everything we do at Valley Electric Association. It is a standard we embrace as an fundamental component of the cooperative business model, and we are proud to make a difference in the communities we serve. VEA awards annual scholarships, supports numerous events throughout the service territory, supports local nonprofit organizations, serves on the various boards in the community, etc. In addition, we take an active role in economic development and community development projects in order to strengthen our communities and enhance the quality of life of our member consumers today and in the future.
