Good deals on vehicles, trailer, desks, chairs, etc.

PAHRUMP, Nev. (May 2, 2019) – Thirteen vehicles, a trailer, desks, chairs, tables, tools, nuts and bolts were scooped up by Valley Electric Association members at the Cooperative’s Annual Meeting at Pahrump Valley High School.

“Member-owners got some very good deals,” said Jason Simpson, VEA Fleet Services Superintendent. “People really seemed to enjoy it. They were excited, and some got really nice pieces of equipment.” Simpson said 129 members registered for the auction, which was conducted following the Annual Meeting on April 27.

After arriving at VEA in early March, Valley Electric Interim Chief Executive Dick Peck suggested conducting the auction. “We had too much inventory, too many vehicles and too much other stuff.”

The auction was conducted by Estates 411 Auction Company and raised $142,000, said Peck.

Though several of the vehicles have quite a few years and miles on them, bidders did not seem to mind, said Simpson. “Word was out about how well the equipment had been maintained.” There was be no reserve bid, so the highest bid won.
