Even during his job interview, Bart felt welcome and valued. He knew he had found a special organization, and Bart wanted to replicate these feelings of friendliness and appreciation for all VEA employees and members. Since taking charge of the Human Resources Department, Bart has instituted streamlined processes and procedures that make basic work routines easier for employees. Beyond this, Bart shifted the culture of the HR Department so employees truly view it as a resource for personal and professional improvement. He not only wants employees to achieve their career goals, he assists them to arrive at where they want to be in life. Through employee development and training programs, Bart hones the skills of linemen and executives alike. Bart’s vision for VEA is to recruit and train a world-class workforce that will carry the company through whatever challenges and opportunities the future holds.
