A message from Mark Stallons, Valley Electric Association CEO

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to accelerate and spread we are closely monitoring the threat and its impact on our community. We are committed to maintaining a healthy workforce, and keeping key personnel available so that we can continue to ensure you have safe, reliable electric and broadband services. We are here to serve you during this unprecedented time. Here are just a few of the actions we are taking:

  • Valley Electric Association has suspended all disconnects for non-payment for our electric and broadband consumers directly impacted by this crisis. We have also waived late fees and deposits for customers who experience financial hardships related to COVID-19 or are unable to pay due to self-isolation. Valley Electric Association encourages those affected by COVID-19 to please contact us for payment arrangements and help with applying for government assistance programs.
  • For your safety, with the use of technology Valley Electric will continue to assist and provide customer care for our electric members and broadband consumers. As the crisis deepens and we are encouraged to stay home, we ask that you consider using electronic means to manage your accounts. We have a variety of service options available via the SmartHub app or online at www.vea.coop . You can pay bills, apply for services, view your energy usage and much more from your computer or mobile device.
  • To ensure you continue to receive safe, reliable electric and broadband services, our crews are performing essential and critical functions. Please help keep them and yourself safe by keeping a minimum six (6) foot separation.

We will continue to work with federal, state and local authorities to ensure we are well-positioned to serve our members and consumers. During these uncertain times one thing is certain, our members are our neighbors and our family. Valley Electric is here to support you and is committed to keeping the lights on and broadband streaming. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 775-727-5312, or visit www.vea.coop if we can be of assistance.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe,
Mark Stallons
