VEA Hosts A Pay It Forward Contest #BetterTogether
Member-owned cooperative is hosting an online giveaway promotion

PAHRUMP, Nev. (March 7, 2016) – In its continued effort to give back to the members of the communities it serves, Valley Electric Association, Inc. (VEA), a member-owned electric cooperative based in Pahrump, recently announced that it is hosting a monthly contest where members are eligible to win a $50 power bill credit.

#BetterTogether is a pay-it-forward style contest that encourages members to visit VEA’s Facebook page ( and enter their family, friends or neighbors for a chance to win. The promotional period started in January and continues each month concluding in December, 2016.

There are no limitations on the number of nominations per person per Facebook account. During the Promotion Entry Period, to enter a friend, family member or neighbor, you simply go to the #BetterTogether post on VEA’s Facebook page and tag them in the comment section, followed by #BetterTogether.

The winner each month will be sent a Facebook message from VEA and also announced in a separate Facebook post. After the winner is announced, the $50 credit will be directly applied to their power bill.
