Dave Hall, VEA District 2 Director
David Hall was elected to the District 2 position in the spring of 2016. A retired farm manager for Ponderosa Dairy, Hall said he likes the way the VEA board addresses challenges. “I’ve never been to a point where the status quo is OK with me. I’ve always been someone who wants to build things, and I see the VEA board as one that builds.”
“It’s a privilege to serve,” Hall said. “I'm honored that the folks in this valley elected me to this position." The direction of the VEA board “makes me really excited about rural Nevada.”
Hall and his wife, Pam, have been residents of Amargosa since 1994. He also serves on the Nye County Water District Governing Board as the Vice Chairman, on the Amargosa Planning Committee as Chairman, member of Amargosa Senior Project Council and Nye County Senior Nutrition Program Board of Directors.
Before moving to Amargosa Valley from Ohio, Hall worked for General Electric Lighting Division for 27 years in a number of management positions as well as Human Resources and Engineering. Hall also was involved in his community in Northeast Ohio as a volunteer firefighter for 12 years and Chief for five. He was the farm manager for Ponderosa Dairy in Amargosa until his retirement in 2014. With his work on the Amargosa Planning Board and farming he has had experience in the VEA service area, including distribution, service installations and efficiency programs for irrigation.
