Broadband Maintenance Scheduled for Thursday
Pre-dawn outage to last approximately 20-30 minutes
Valley Communications Association will conduct a scheduled software upgrade Thursday morning on our wireless / fiber network. Members may experience an outage lasting up to 30 minutes between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Thursday.
The VCA broadband network is a complex, dual-functioning system, serving the needs of consumers through wireless and fiber-optic cable. "The software upgrade is necessary in order to fine tune the reliability of our system," said Nate Johnson, Executive VP- Broadband and IT Communications. "The planned maintenance will resolve occasional outages that some members may have experienced."
Consumers may need to restart their routers if service is not restored by 6 a.m., Thursday.
